2nd place overall, 24th state.
I went out fast was another guy for the first 6 miles. He was going for 2:45. I could tell I was working too hard and it was likely wasn't going to end well, so I let him go. Then I had a little potty break at 12.
From that point on I kind of ran solo. It was on a airforce base which was really neat, but made it really quiet because there were no spectators. Once I started catching the halfies I started to get a second wind and picked up the pace. Caught Coco right around 12. Moved up a few spots late and got under 2:50. Not really sure why this random race, I wanted to get under 2:50 but for some reason that was a goal.
