Well, I may NOT be running the Evil Rock n Roll Backwards Hosewater Philadelphia Half Marathon today [once affectionately known simply as "The Distance Run"] put I put down some long miles this morning, just the same. It was grey and dim when I set out, but the sun finally slipped from the clouds just as I got to the Sanctuary Gate. I was fortunate enough to have a couple sprinklers running for me on the back loop.I caused a small "flock" of turkeys to rustle themselves into the woods as I came back around. Thankfully, there wasn't much wind coming off The Big Field yet, just a little breeze, but I know that's gonna be nasty in a couple months.An eventful run, done in a good time; with no bands, no medals, no hoopla, AND it was free!
