The air was cold, the sky was grey, the grass was straw.
I said to myself over and over “When the temp hits 20° we’ll go out.” Some of my marathoning friends had already accepted and defeated the “more miles than degrees” challenge. Not for me. Not only do I not have the endurance to run 20 miles, I also don’t have that kind of time. No, an hour run is just about all the time I can afford at this point in the “season.”
Plus I wanted to be home in time to watch the Rolex 24 at Daytona. What can I say? I like watching racing cars that turn left AND right. I'm a dork.
It became more and more clear that 20° was not gonna happen today. When the first flakes started to fall, THAT sealed the deal … “Cool!!! Now let’s have some fun!!!”
