Thought I'd get my "Silly Run of the Month" in early. Been a long while since I went out for such a warm post-work run. Hit the first mile mark in 8:20, and pulled it in a little from there. While I was at RJST-LP2 [otherwise known as The Stoplight on the Way Back], a smoker-dude waiting for the bus asked me about my shoes. For some reason, I got this vibe like he was some big shot athlete in HS, but lost his way. He even asked me about Vibrams ... and pronounced it PROPERLY. I told him he should quit smoking and start jogging. For emphasis I added "You CAN Do it!" since he was at the Bus Stop I threw in "I'll be around, checking on ya" and I trotted off for my last half mile. Who knows? Maybe he'll see that NIKE Commercial and say "Y'know? I CAN do it!!"
