A most unusual run for me. I actually had ... A PARTNER!!! While waiting for the stoplight, a girl came up on the other side of the road and had to wait also. When the light changed, she - running WITH traffic, tsk-tsk - crossed easily, while I had to wait for the drivers making left turns to clear my way; and there were a bunch. Due to my delay, she was able to open a sizeable gap on me ... but nothing I couldn't overcome. At the Mile One mark, she was still on "her side" of the street and I was on mine. I caught her attention and motioned "Forward, left or right?" She pointed ahead, I nodded and we proceeded to run together. Hello's and chit-chat ensued for the next 1/2 mile. When we reached the end of the road, she stopped to turn around for home, while I looped around to Atco Ave. I cruised back home at a pretty good clip, and even came within a couple hundred yards of making the SECOND gap up on her.
