Ahhhh ... the scents and sounds of a suburban Saturday in Springtime. Along with the previously over-mentioned licas, wisteria and other flowering thing there were the aromas of freshly cut grass; newly laid mulch; fertilizer, lawn food a 'cides of all kinds. I could hear lawnmowers, trimmers, edgers and blowers working the yards, plus assorted power tools like table saws and sanders for the home improvement tasks. Plus, in the distance [and this will give an idea of where I live] I detected the muscley screams, growls & whines from the dragstrip and the Pop! Pop! Pop! of target practice at the gun club.
