Notes
Finally got my butt outta bed and off the schneide for the week. Still gonna be a low total, and I'm WAY OFF my pace for the Y/E goal [yeah, let's be honest = that's pretty much shot, WAH!]. Grey & frosty, with the temp right at the Freezing mark, I finally went out with long pants. My toesies numbed up about ½ mile out just the same, but they came back to life at about mile 3. It looked like a very thin layer of ice was reaching out from the banks of the little ponds, and lake steam was coming up from the non-cover water. None of my Barnyard Friends were out to say "Hi!: Super still and peaceful running through McMansionLand; only a few quiet little birds flitting around, and random crackles and rustles in the woods [probably squirrels, but maybe deer?]. Had to stop at the NJ Transit crossing, and that's when the Ice Cream Headache came upon my noggin. It went away a big once I got moving again for the Last Mile, but came back on my cool-down walk after I shook up my water bottle - slushifying it - and took a big gulp of Ice Water!
