Nice, easy, pre-Autumnal Dawn Patrol trot. Left the house just a shade before 6, so my goal was to beat at least one train back home. Dark and grey, dead still and damp; not much fun at all, really, but I kept my pace up somewhat. No woodland creatures to see this morning, and only one rooster was up to greet me. I had a chance for a sprinkler dash, but as cool as it was, I didn't have a need. I ran along the RR tracks well before they were due to come by. Stopping at the RJST-LP light, I checked my watch. I might be able to beat BOTH of them, but it was gonna be close. The horn from the 6:24 caught me with just about ⅓ mile to go, but I breezed in before the opposite one.
