Oh Christ that was disgusting!!! Leaving the house I said to myself "Self? How bad could it be, really?" Besides, I have a friend running Badwater, so I'd just be a COMPLETE wimp to whine about it. Yeah, warm as it was and with 84% humidity [of 100 Humids invited to the Party, only 16 were No-Shows] that wasn't the worst of it all ... The WORST Part was when a river of salty sweat managed to stream into my eye while I was waiting at the stoplight. THAT Stung!!! And, of course, once a little bit found it's way there, more just kept flowing right in. Finally home, I dumped my water bottle over myself to rinse it, then got into the shower - with all my gear on - to hose off.
