I was hesitant at first to start from Indian Spring, then I noticed all the cars stacked with bike racks as I pulled up; apparently Team Evesham was riding out from the Country Club today, also. Needless to say, I felt even more out of place than I had planned ... It's one thing to be the only Runner among with a bunch of Golfers, but to be the only Runner mixed in with Golfers AND Cyclists? Yeah, I tried my Invisibility Cloak, but it wasn't functioning this morning. The course I charted was a very simple Out & Back; I didn't feel like messing around, running through unfamiliar Marlton & Medford neighborhoods. Main St./Tuckerton Road has a pretty ample shoulder to play with, too. Of course, the way out was straight into the sun most of the way, until I got to Medford itself. I chose the dam at Lake Pine as the turnaround, simply because I thought it would be neat to run across the little bridge that I usually drive by [plus, again, easy to remember]. I forgot, however that there's a quick drop then a rise again to get to the crossing. After completing my U-turn, I took a little zig-zag through Murphy's Parking lot, then headed back to the Clubhouse. The sun was at my back, but now I was running into a slight headwind. I had sorta noted my Mile Marks, and was pretty surprised to find myself way ahead of schedule 'Maybe I mis-measured? May I'm mis-remembering?' All the cyclists were gone as I trotted in and hit the 'STOP' button. Like Lori, I had taken a few minutes off my Bridge Run 10K, as well. Go me!!!
