got there early so I needed up to occupy myself so I did several warmups, 10 min easy, then stretched and then the warmup stretching routine and then another 15 min with pickups the last couple of minutes at a moderate-hard pace. Ran the race in 24:15 which is a 6k pr for me (last year I ran 24:43). I was running pretty consistently 4 min/1k 4-5k is the hardest part of the race and I slowed a little but picked it back up the last k. I think I could have run faster because I was not able to get out as hard as I wanted.. overall really good race but I am over it and ready to get back to work. I went through 5k in like 20:25 I think which would be a 5k XC pr actually. I guess I should be happy about it because this race in particular always makes me realize how many people are faster than me. I just am ready to get back to work and race again soon.
