Felt really good and weather was gorgeous in the 40s, sunny and very little wind. Unfortunately, miss timed the start and didn't get across the start line until 13 sec after gun went off! Cost me 3rd in masters by 1 sec. In totality though, I think it kept me under control the first mile and I had targets to catch all race. 14th overall. 27.43 which was 5.33 pace. I had a goal of 28.45 which is 5.45 pace. Splits were: 5.28, 5.29, 5.45, 5.39, 5.20. Closed really well on the last mile as I passed 3 guys. One not too far after 4th mile, another with about 800m to go and last with about 400m to go. Had a light warm-up since I was watching the 5k and then did a longer warm down with Napier and Joey.
