Felt terrific. Was point to point race starting in Elon. Was 30 degrees at the start so wore a bunch of clothes and shed them thru mile 13. Was cranking out 6.10 pace thru 10...62.15 or so at 10, 1.21.15 at half. Course was very hilly but suited me well. Was in 2nd about 7 miles into the race. The leader was 2.30 so he was out of sight. Held strong thru 23 where hit 6.30 and then just shy of 7 for last 3 miles. Was in a world of pain but the uphill and wind didn't help. Very pleased with the performance considering the avg training cycle. 2nd overall for this 1st year marathon and collected $600 check for the place.
