Sophomore race yesterday. Early in the race, I made sure to keep contact with the front runner. I executed that aspect perfectly: so well that I followed him into the wrong section of the course. And I call myself an orientteer. Fortunately we were directed out by an official.
Me, feeling "oh crap I'd better take the conservative way back so I don't get DQed" ran directly back to the course from where I'd made the wrong turn. Mr. Bellevue on the other hand cut far into the cones after our mistake. Ended up just giving me more motivation to throw surge after surge on him when I caught him later to make him feel like hell. He ended up burning out and finishing 3rd, which was my favorite part of the day.
