Notes
Philadelphia Marathon. Great race, big PR. Physically, felt great for most of the race. Right achilles tightened up for a mile around mile 13 or 14, but then it went away. Faded slightly in the last couple miles, but still kept up a decent pace, and sped up for mile 26. Right quad was definitely noticeable after the race, but it's ok now the next morning.
Carbed up with spaghetti (and bread and a couple bites of potato) the evening before (around 5:30pm) and oatmeal/pecans/banana/milk the morning of (around 5:00am), not to mention lots of bread starting Thursday before.
During the race, took water at every water stop (except one where I couldn't get to the water, so I took a sip of Gatorade instead). Took chocolate GU around miles 10 and 15, and chocolate Clif Shots around miles 19 and 23.
Wore shorts + Disney thin long-sleeve running shirt + Boston Marathon jacket + baseball hat + $1.50 gloves. Ditched the gloves after mile 8 (but wanted them back later!).
