Goal was to tempo it at 6:30 pace and not try to race. Immediately, I was in second place with no one around me. I missed a few of the mile markers, but it appears I was close to 6:40 pace the first three miles and then went under 6:30 pace the next three to average out to about 6:30 pace at the 10k. Then things got interesting on the second half, which was slightly downhill. The 8th and 10 miles were sub 6 with the rest of miles being about 6:15 pace. I felt very good and totally within myself. Definitely did not feel like an all out race, which is what I was hoping for.
