Horseshoe Lake Trail Run.
My first fully-trail 50k! Actually the course was probably a mile or more short, but I'm ignoring that. One of the runners commented that ALL his trail 50k's are 29-30 miles, so he's used to it. I never had any doubts that I would complete the whole distance, which is a nice change. The last 5 miles, I actually felt really strong on the uphills, but I was painfully slow on the downhills. I'm glad I did it, but it's time to assess my achilles and see how quickly it recovers. It didn't hurt during the run, but it was really sore on the drive back home.
