Notes

This is a mostly flat out and back route. I have been feeling tired since Sunday's run, so I was a bit off for this handicap club race. I started 10 minutes after the first runner, with Sandy (who beat me by 3 minutes in the Gallividian 10K last year) starting 15 seconds after me.

Sandy passed me at the half mile point as I went through the mile in 6:26. Even though I ran the 2nd and 3rd miles about 10 seconds faster, I didn't feel strong at any point. Sandy wound up running about 25 seconds faster than me, so I am much closer to hm than last year when i started running again.

My 5K time at the Run For All Ages in October was about the same even though I know I am in much better shape now. If I taper for a 5K and wear my racing flats, I feel I can run about 19:30 now.

The goal is sub 19 by the end of the year. It will be challenging, but I think I can get it!
