Notes
Light rain and warm for this time of the year... a great day for running. When I left the house I was getting a lot of pain in the right ankle down the hill. And the hill wasn't that steep I wasn't sure if i could run properly. I went back to the house, gulped down some ibuprofen, and went back out. I wanted to get in a hill run pushing the ups and down, but I knew because of the ankle I had to be very careful on the downhill, so I opted for hill repeats on a short hill that wasn't too steep so jogging back down shouldn't hurt the ankle much.
This worked out great as I had no problem on the downhill going easy (getting warmed up and painkillers helped.) I was careful not to turn the ankle laterally, or that would have been as problem. Sometimes you have to improvise and just get through a workout. This was a great run! Did 12 hill reps which were about .15 mile each. I got stronger and faster as the run progressed. I left feeling I could have done a few more, but I am happy to do what I did.
