Best workout for speed since last year.
10 x 1 minute with 1 minute recovery. 5 minute jog and then a hard mile.
Last week I averaged 6:10 pace for the minutes and the mile was 6;21.
Today, I felt great on the minutes, hitting a 5:55 ave pace. I did struggle in the last 20 seconds of the mile, but hung on to run 5 seconds faster at 6:16.(Hips and quads seized the last 20 sec.) I did have some headwind in the mile.
