I love this race. I was surprised that with my slow time I was able to grab the last, (12th place) on the age graded to snag $40.00. The course changed since I last ran it in 2010. They extended the finish, so it's now 3.2 instead of 3.13 on my watch. That is about 20 seconds longer. 10 seconds per mile faster than last months 5K, so nice improvement. I did have some right hammy tweaks, so i will have to be careful.
It's hard to believe that 4 years ago I was almost a full 2 minutes faster in this race. I hope to come back next year and get under 19 minutes.
