When I got to the track there was a soccer game going on in the infield grass, so I thought about doing the workout on one of the outside lanes to stay away from the action. As I was doing a stride to warm up I noticed a guy walking the opposite direction. I thought he was a walker. However he was an official of some sorts and came up to me and booted me off the track! The policy is no one is allowed to run during soccer matches.

I went out and did 6 eccentric strides and 6 x 90 seconds on the road. The terrain was undulating so my speed varied. My hamstring tightened much more than last time. So much so that I couldn't run faster than 6;10 pace for the approximately 400 meter distance. It was one of these days where the body fights the run and is not smooth and relaxed. Definitely not a 'Perfect Run'. :)
