Notes

In the past week I've driven past the Riverway in Boston. Every time I drive past I have the desire to run there. Looking at it in the car it appears to be a paved trail in a park, ideal for running. So today was the day. After a 20 minute drive, I parked and run the Riverway. It's a loop around a narrow river. part asphalt, part dirt. The only downside is it's only 1.5 miles around.

I came up and did some exploring. About 400m away I found Olmstead Park. I run through there and found the bonus... Jamaica Pond. I've read that this is a popular place to run. I knew it was somewhere around here, but I didn't expect to run into it. This was such a great surprise! this is also a 1.5 mile loop, this time around a pond. I did two rounds here and headed back to the Riverway, making it 8.5 miles in total.

If you live right in Boston, this gives one another option besides the Charles River.

East Boston is limited with good places to run, so it was nice to get out for a new location not too far away. I would love to take Eleni here when she gets here. :o)
