Another great weather day for running. It's been unseasonably cool. today I came out of my 4 day running funk. I felt 100% better.I parked my car by the Charles River. I've been so desperate to run the river. Every time I drive by it and see all the runners, it inspired me to get out here. All I had was $1.25 in coins for the meter, so this gave me 75 minutes to run. I ran towards Boston, passing the Doubletree Hotel which brought back wonderful memories of running with Eleni. I know she would have loved this run today. This is such a beautiful place to run. I stayed mostly on the dirt path along side of the paved road. At about 4 miles I crossed the bridge so i could run back the other side. My mistake was that this bridge lead to Storrow Dr, so I had to cross Storrow Dr to get to other side and run back. This became a 5 minute wait as the traffic is non-stop. So now I know i have to hustle back to avoid getting a a parking ticket, so the last 3.5 miles I had to run hard, clocking 7:06, 6:52, 6;41. I made it just as the meter ran out, so I was safe. :) right hamstring sore, but manageable.
I would love to get out here more often. parking is always the issue.
