This was test day. I needed to see if my body was ready to run hard and see how my leg respond. And then I would make my decision about next weeks race. It was a humid day and I struggled to get my turnover going. I worked hard the second mile to run 6:03. The butt/hamstring pain was intense at 1.5 miles and it lasted for about 10 seconds. When this happens I slow down a bit. But it went away and I was able to finish strong. So I was very pleased about today, especially considering I had to bail out on Tuesday. So I've decide that I am in for the 12K!
Finished off with 6 x 100 yd eccentric strides.
