Well I ran a 5K tonight in Charlestown. A blazing 21:54 (7:10 pace.) I didn’t know the course so I had to run with the two top runners who were there and obviously they were not that fast. They had no timer or anything. It was hot about 78-80. I wore my HRM so I could get my max heart rate. That didn’t work out. My heart rate was higher than normal for that pace, but that is expected because of the heat. I really want to race before Rhody. Since I didn’t race tonight I think I might try the Somerville 4.13 club race tomorrow night.
Charlestown is a very cool town. Areas of it remind me of Kirkudbright, Scotland with the funky painted homes!
