Medford blue track... I knew right from the start of the warmup that today was going to be a great run. The hamstring didn't bother me much even warming up.I did 10 minutes tempo on the track @ 6:29 pace, with 5 minute rest, 4 x 800 (400 rest) @ 3:01, 3:00, 2:55, 2:56. Next - 4 x 200 (200 rest) @ 41, 41, 40, 40. This was the first track session since June where I was finally able to run hard without worrying about the hamstring. I'm pleased with the numbers I hit considering it was very windy. I did lose some top end speed as I couldn't get under 40 seconds for the 200's, but hitting 2:55 tells me I haven't lost much off my sustained speed. After the workout I had that feeling of accomplishment through fatigue. It felt great to run hard again. :)

If all goes well, I'll push to 5 sets next time out.
