I've been running easy for a long while now, I felt like I needed to put in a more quality effort. I started out at 8:00 pace and gradually got stronger during the run. The last 5 miles were at 7;25, with the last mile @ 7:05. This was a mostly flat route until the last mile which was hilly.

It felt great to push the pace and 'air it out' a bit the last 5 miles! :)

Miles 10-12 were on the astro turf and track which was noticablly btter on my legs than the hard road. I realized today that living here in East Boston with all the pounding on the cement, my body would suffer if i was doing my normal training volume for a marathon. My feet and knees are starting to hurt a bit during runs.
