Eleni and I parked near Kilnford and ran a mile up the road (hill) and then added (towards the Terragles bike route) on before coming back. I felt fine until mile 4.4 when the leg pain returned. I walk 3 times until the end of that mile. The good news is I was able to run the last 1.3 miles without any pain.
LH ran tough... not far off from her 10K race pace.
I will most likely take tomorrow off.
In the early evening we went to Castle Douglas to watch the Gelston 5 miler. I really wanted to run this a sit was my first race coming back last year when I ran it with only a few weeks running under my belt.
Because Eleni and I were not running the race, but we went and supported the runners as they were about a quarter mile from the finish. A beautiful day for spectators, but hot for runners. (75 degrees.)
It was really a nice day getting out and seeing some of our running friends.
