Amazing run!
I couldn't believe how great I felt right from the first step. Even the hamstring loosened up much faster than usual. First mile was in 8:17. I've been doing 8:40 to 9:20 first miles for the past two months. I then locked into a rhythm and ran effortlessly, LOVING EVERY SECOND OF IT. I had forgotten how good it feels to run without any body restrictions. I ran relaxed, not trying to run fast at all. Just following my body. In fact it would have been difficult to run much slower! Last four miles at 7:21, 7:20, 7:13, 7:12.
Even more surprising was I was able to recover so fast from Saturday's race.
During the afternoon I felt an energy drain and felt tired, but I also sensed I would have a good run tonight. I just didn't know how good. :)
I am feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude to be able to do this today. I received a rare boon... a blessing and I thank God.
