Going out later in the day was the right move. Warming up I felt much better. However, because of the 25-30 MPH wind, I decided to do 3 instead of 6 miles at PMP (7:25). I was working way too hard, more like standard tempo effort when getting blasted by the wind.
Mile 1 was into the wind, mile 2, tailwind and mile 3 was a mix. Splits: 7:34, 7:19, 7:21. Ave: 7:24.
I compromised not doing the full 6 miles with (after a hale mile recovery), 6 x 1 minute strides with 1 minute rest. 6 x 1 minute strides with 1 minute rest.
Pace: 6:42, 6:20, 6:44, 6:23, 6:09, 6:19. Did these with a tailwind. Even with the tailwind, I was slow. I am tired from the training/miles.
