There was a thin layer of ice on the roads from the fine snow/rain last night, so this run was slow. However, it was full of moments of pain underneath the bottom of the foot. It didn't feel so much under the 5th metatarsal as up in the lateral part of the foot. Maybe the pain is coming from the bone, the cuboid, for example. My X-rays did show some spurring going on. I wonder if that is the source of my pain, or if it's perhaps more arthritis developing.
