a cool/comfortable day, believe it or not......a very low key race starting at Mid-State Airport between State College and Philipsburg on the Allegheny Front Trail....a very nice trail with a combination terrain...mostly all runnable. the first few miles are in thicker brush, then goes into the Moshannon State Forest. the first 9 miles are flat. a downhill old logging path from 9-10.5, then back into the woods. a few steep climbs between mile 11-22, with flatter trail after. overall, pleased with my results. i haven't been running long and my left glute/IT/knee have given me issues. when healthy, i believe i could have run it in under 6:30. the trail was very nice, AS's weren't very good. i would run it again. Caryn and I then spent the weekend at a B & B and went to Penn's Cave.
