probably the warmest day and probably the 2nd muddiest WE race..may have reached 90 degrees in afternoon..thought i started out slow, but going by strava segments the first couple climbs/descents i may have gone out to fast. didn't have much energy throughout. consistently drinking and did not pee 1 time...just didn't have it. around mile 24 i had major cramps, threw up multiple times and collapsed..got up and gradually started moving....someone gave me more salt tablets......took a long time to finish. Anne Weaver caught me around mile 27. stopped and had potatoes/salt at last aid station...mostly hiked with Anne on logging road...i did feel like i could run more but decided to stay with her. when we started going down, Nate Bassiel caught us...at the bottom, Julia Warrick caught us.....all four of us finished together. overall not a good race. i need a couple weeks off running as my legs felt tired from the start. it is still my favorite race by far! looking forward to the 100k next year!
