very warm and humid....located in Masten, PA on the Old Loggers Path....a remote/nice area. the trail was runnable for the first portion...a new portion of trail was made recently and got technical with rocks/roots. eventually got back on the original OLP..but still rocky at spots. a few steeper climbs. although it seemed as though the mileage of the race was going to be over 31 miles, it ended up being short(30miles).....overall not a bad new race put on by Lee Arbogast and Laura Hensler. it was marked very well where it needed to be. there were a couple unmanned aid stations where they simply ran out of water for people. i personally was running out and conserved...i was loosing alot of fluids. the last 3-4 miles were runnable downhill, which was nice. i ran with Nate Bassiel for some, who finished in 7:54...Cassie Lizza also was there and she ran it in 8hrs.....i wouldn't mind running it again in better conditions. i probably could have gotten under 7 hrs if weather was good.
