Very cold, sunny morning...big marathon with alot of marathoners, 20,940 people. Ran by alot of monuments and famous buildings, including the capitol. A good marathon with more gradual incline hills than expected. I ran it smart, started slow, was at 1:48:40 at 13.1., gradually slowed until around mile 23, then had enough for good tempo at the end...finished running up a small, steep hill at statue of Hiroshima...Overall, was shooting for a 3:35 finish but ok with results. Fun marathon...we stayed at Justin and Addy Rummel's appartment. Justin ran the 10K(54:00).
