drove down to Blackwater Falls SP in Davis, WV after work to run this....10pm start. a 3.25m out and back road course....a hilly course and humid . original goal was around a hour loop and 4hr finish but early on i could tell it wasn't going to happen. legs felt heavy. i set a goal early on for around a 4:30....right hamstring on verge of cramping on 3rd and 4th loop....was able to stop at my car along the course for refueling. felt strong last few miles and pushed hard. they also had a Solo challenge option(run all night) and half thon and quarter thon options....Dave Willow ran 2 or 3 loops, Jen Cadenhead finished thon in 6:08 and Brad Garfinkel ran thon in 7:10. nice area and views.....may go back down again to try all night challenge and spend or day or two down there. this was my first road thon in 4 years!
