The NIRCA experts expect me to pop off tomorrow. I like their thinking, but with the achilles issues ive had this summer, im a little behind on training. My goal is to lay it out there but most importantly have fun
Can’t believe tomorrow is the beginning of the end. The start of season 13/13 of my xc career. Crazy to think ive been doing this sport for about 3/4 of my life that ive had the ability to run. Who am I without the summer miles? What else would I be doing in the fall without it? Questions I haven’t thought much about, but I will have to figure out the answers soon. This season isn’t about being sad about it, its a celebration of all 12 of the previous seasons. Will I PR this season? Maybe, but its not as high of a priority. The goal of this season is to have fun. To love every second of the pain of giving it everything I have. They say 13 is an unlucky number, but I don’t think its true. May number 13 bring the best out of this crazy relationship I have with my sport that I love. Cheers
