10 mile run with a 5 mile moderate pace in the middle.
First long run with any type of speed work in a long time and the first run where I've had two or more consecutive miles under 7:00/mi since the 10 mile. It felt good for the first 2.5 miles of the moderate work and I was pleased with how I started there but it was a bit tougher on the way back and I could feel it. I was shooting for about a 7:00/mi pace as my moderate goal which is a little slower than I've done in the past but I had to start somewhere and this was the day. After a tough week, my body felt decent today so I figured I would go for it. I'm pleased with how it went but I know it could be a lot better. It's hard not to be a little frustrated with this but I know I've been though a lot lately and I need to start somewhere. I feel that things are going to get better soon but I'm glad I started with this workout. At least I can say the moderate miles averaged 6:49/mi.
