It was raining big time driving to Hempstead Lake...sweating waiting in the parking lot hoping it will stop and clear up, and it did, sun came out humidity staid, there was steam coming up from the race route (ha), I went out @ 6:39, 6:53 then diying for the last .48 mile which was actually .62... @ 4:11 shit!, Bill took gold easy, I passed Pat Engle in the parking lot but Karen C. beat me, great awards party tipping the cold buds, oh, on a funny note, A guy in Bill's A.G. somehow was close enough to click his time chip and take away 1st from Bill, until it was reported...Ha!
