Notes
I got there early, of course, I ain't got a job, it was nice and sunny, but a bit breezy, ok like Bill said, we'll be on the trails, it was dry too! I warmed up in the parking lot, then headed for the start area, I was doing some strides, like always, not sure how it'll go! Yes I had the Triangle CC 2.5 on the old sunken meadow HS under my belt from Thursday, so who now's, ok, long story short, I went out at an ok pace, a lot of slow traffic (not real slow) but like Pat Engle said later, get up closer! so I hit mile 1 at just under 7mins., then after the 1st each mile got longer, especially the 3rd, after that I keep pushin to get under 22:00, ah! I did, came in 8th AG, better then 14th, like at heckscher, tipped a few cold one's with Bill & Pat, the 2 DNF's...Wow! (Also take note- I had an odd breathing thingy goin on all day, like my heart was skipping a beat or something, not really off though, so that was on my mind before the race, after I put my heart thru some heavy work, runnin this race, I didn't notice it?) will be monitoring it?)
