--- Borderline recovery run without planning it. Semi-goal for planned short, easy run was 9:35 pace, 155 average heart, 0 dry-heaves. Ended up just kind of going off feel and went 9:31/146/0. Nice. ---

Another short night of sleep. Had a quick stretch, focusing a little bit on my lower back at the end. Was back and forth between running around the area or my original plan of Helix Fields x 3. Decided late on running the 0.66-mile Olive loop three times and a short 0.21-mile SOAB add-on, mainly because I left a little too late and possibly could’ve got yelled at for running over on the Helix High School fields. If it was 15 minutes earlier I would’ve run on the fields. My semi-goal going in was an easy run (not recovery), 9:35 pace (9:30-9:40 would be accepted), an average heart rate below 155 and no dry-heaves.

My legs were tired in the beginning but felt so much better as the run went on. Lower back hurt as well but didn’t seem to be an issue that long. Just kept it easy. I think I was at 2:20 at 0.25 miles and then I switched it to my heart rate for a little bit before deciding to switch back to the miles and just focus on feel. Ended up running the three laps (all 0.66) in 6:15, 6:23 and 6:14 for 1.98 miles in 18:52 (9:32 pace).

Then went out to the stop sign and back on Olive, 0.10 mile each way in 58.91 and 58.47, so 0.20 miles in 1:57 (9:47 pace).

Altogether it was 2.19 miles in 20:49 (9:31 pace), while keeping my average heart rate at 146. This was a borderline recovery run for me without even planning it.
