Harder training day. Going to experiment with putting a long ride after a hilly trail run. Usually my legs are crap the day after a trail run. Legs are crap the day after a longer ride. Perhaps this pattern combined with an easy, short day following will work for me?

Route was Camden - Almaden - McKean - Uvas - Oak Glen past the reservoirs - Llagas - Hale - backroads - Coleman - home. Wanted to minimize hills and emphasize just going a bit longer than normal within the context of a real road ride rather than on the bike trail. Had an awesome tailwind on the way down to Morgan Hill. Of course this translated into a very strong headwind on Hale on the way back. That segment was hateful in every way. Saw a ton of cyclists out. Never been on Llagas before so that part was interesting. I can see how coming up from the other direction would be challenging with a steady climb. Weather was good, not too hot. Feeling tired afterwards but not dead.
