The two big Shepherds at the end of the block got out and were barking at us, defending their turf. Generally they are well behaved but they definitely meant business in the wee hours of the morning. We turned the other way and started jogging. Their person came out and called them in, finally. Eddie surprisingly didn't go completely off the rails, and we all held it together pretty well.
