gps went batshit crazy this morning... first mile was a little odd (7:17), but nothing completely out of the ordinary. i did feel better than usual. things got weird when the garmin beeped at "2miles" (10:16 cumulative, so a 2:59 mile split!) before i hit the 1.5mi turnaround. the rest of it was consistently off as i ripped through 2:38, 2:12, 2:36, 3:11 for miles 3 through 6. strava lists my "PR effort" for the 1/2 mile at 1:38 (eat your heart out rudisha), but somehow i came up just shy of bekele's 5k record.
great way to start the day!
