Notes
If Tuesday was one of the best runs at home in years... today was easily the best run I've had at home since I was running/racing in college... 10+ years ago. Anytime I'd run this, I was happy to sneak under 8:00 pace. To average sub-7 on these roads is awesome. It kinda helps to be fit when you're running the hills around here. 6:02 for the final mile up and down Apollo was great. The elevation profile of this is pretty cool. Gives you a little bit of an idea of what the ridge looks like, amazing views all around. I love that part of the run... It's like running along the rim of my own sentimental grand canyon... I miss these roads...
Went to the Akron Zoo yesterday and picked up my nephew, Emery. Had a blast at the Zoo with the boys, my Mom, and my sister, Sara.
Today was kinda crappy, cause I expected to pick up Nicole at the Pittsburgh Airport at 4:00pm... wouldn't actually see her until 3:45am... driving back through the West Virginia pan-handle and the backroads of Amsterdam and Bergholz was a treat in the middle of the night. Felt like I was in some kind of video game with all of the deer jumping across the roads... Andrew and Nicholas both caught some fish in the pond. That was cool.
