3 easy, 1 easy with a few strides then into 6 x half mile with 1/4 mile jog recovery...then back home. Day off work so was able to take a bit more time to get this done.

Goal was 6:25-6:45 pace and I was a bit surprised at being able to stay at the very low end and then under that target. This was a nice confidence boost and I think suggests that I'm more fit than last week's 5k suggested and just need to get used to the higher end effort.

Plugging the workout into garmin is nice and I need to do this more often as it holds me to the workout and also allows my brain to shut off a bit on keeping track of intervals, etc.

Big takeaway for the day - despite tight hips, some soreness/fatigue and not feeling ready for a session/workout I was able to execute quite well and beyond expectations. A reminder that it's ok to push myself for workouts and at least give them a shot.

Took some fuel with me and ate some after the 4th rep (during recoveries) - almost surely coincidental that the next rep was faster as the glucose wouldn't have yet hit. Mostly took so I would have some juice to get back home and to perhaps help speed recovery.
