Tempo run with Mike at practice. Did first half with him and then took the last half really fast. Need to simulate the toughness f the second half of the mile. Went really fast for the two mile loop in 10:31 and felt comfortable
Did the last mile on the track. I did that for simulating the mile strategy that I will need to perfect before Kevin Dare next week. I have to go 62-63 for first lap, 63-64 for second, 63-64 for the next, and then 60-63 for the last. I need to push my body to run even/negative splits in a fast paced race.
For the mile on the track right after doing the two mile loop:
First Lap: 73
Second Lap: 74
Third Lap: 74
Last lap: 69
Felt like what I had to do for a race. I'm getting familiar with how to do this. I will be ready for Kevin Dare!
