Hectic morning of not being able to find the park and getting the teams screwed up kind of fucked with my head and I wasn't in a good place mentally at race time. Anyways, I was he 3rd leg of a 4x2.6 mile Healy around Lake Padden. Got the handoff in 2nd of 7 Western teams. Immediately got swallowed up by Isaac Derline, an individual nattys qualifier and 30:08 10k guy on grass. I didn't really feel like hanging on at the beginning and getting dropped in the hills, so I let him go and just tempoed the first 2 miles. I hit the last .6 pretty hard and passed the guy who was originally in the lead, hanging on to 2nd place for the team. Ian anchored us a 2nd place really well too, so that was nice. I actually have no idea what my time was cause I haven't heard yet, but I'll find out at some point soon.
