Notes
Manchester 10K. Planned to start slow then start reeling in people after mile 2. Pack of 6 or 7 pulled ahead and started pretty fast as I watched them go. Easy part was slow first 2 miles. At mile 2 last guy in pack was 160 steps ahead of me, or about 0.1 mile. Didn't know if I could catch him, but between 3 and 4 after Jailhouse hill I caught him.
Passed another guy after the turn on Waite St.
Mile 5 had two pretty good climbs which probably explains the 8:15 split... dang!
With a little over a mile left I caught Mark and there was a skinny kid with a military haircut about 80 yds ahead. I told Mark, "let's catch this kid", but he said he didn't have anything left, so I started reeling him in. I got him within 14 steps, then 13, then 13, and just couldn't close the gap anymore. He finished just ahead of me.
I got 2nd in my AG, 5th Overall.
Logged a lot of miles on the bike last week, and not many running, so wasn't expecting a great time.
LT is about 171-172, do based on HR numbers, a pretty well run race.
